Checkout covers Shopify’s checkout platform — checkout extensibility (UI extensions and Shopify Functions that customize behavior without forking checkout), migrations off the deprecated checkout.liquid, and changes to the hosted checkout flow itself. This is specifically the purchase flow, not cart or product-page behavior upstream of it.
